Peri Peri Combo (Leg & Thigh)

The Challenge
The client was running delivery-app promotions with generic stock photography, and the ads blended into an endless scroll of near-identical food offers. Click-through rates on their delivery platform banners were well below category benchmarks.
The target audience — hungry, fast-scrolling mobile users — makes a decision in under two seconds. The creative had to communicate the combo, the portion, and the price instantly, without relying on copy-heavy layouts.
Constraints included strict delivery-app banner dimensions, limited brand assets, and a requirement that the design remain legible at thumbnail scale on low-end devices.
Strategic Solution
I rebuilt the visual hierarchy around a single hero shot of the leg and thigh combo, lit with high-contrast directional lighting to make the glaze and texture read even at small sizes. The pricing was elevated to a primary visual element rather than a footnote.
The color system leaned on the brand's vivid reds and flame tones against deep charcoal, creating appetite appeal and strong shelf contrast in-app. Typography used a heavy, condensed display face for the offer and a clean sans for supporting details.
Layout balance was tuned so the food occupies the dominant visual weight, with price and call-to-action anchored in predictable scan positions for right-handed mobile users.
